FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Will you be shooting my wedding?

Yes. For all packages I include two camera men (myself and an assistant) for the wedding ceremony and the reception to ensure that every moment is captured and precise.

2. May I see samples of your work?

Yes. Samples are available under the "Sample Video" section of this website. Check back often because new sample videos are always being added.

 3. What packages do you offer? What do they include?

All packages are listed under the "rates and services" section of this website. If you have further questions about what they include fill out the form on the ''contact me'' page or send me an email to VictoriaShirleyProductions@gmail.com

4. How many cameras will be used and where will they be located?

Included in all packages there will be three cameras set up for the ceremony. Two manned cameras and one unmanned camera. The cameras will be located where the client and/or minister request the cameras to be located. The ideal locations would be one in the back (providing a wide shot) and two at the diagonals of the bride and groom manned to enable the capture of the raw expressions and emotions.

At the reception two manned cameras are used.

5. Are you able to work with the restrictions on lights and tripods at the ceremony or reception site?

Yes. I am able to work under all conditions. Although dimly lit areas will affect the quality of the video. I do have little lights that attach to my cameras for instances where the lighting is dramatically dark.

 6. How long will it take to get our completed video?

It depends on what month your wedding is. If it is during the crux of the wedding season then it may take a bit longer than if it were in a not so popular month. The estimated time is anywhere between 3-4 months. The highlight video however will be available for online viewing within one month.

7. Can I keep the raw, unedited footage?

Raw footage is no longer available to clients. This is because it takes an enormous amount of time to export and ties up my computer for days at a time. Most of the footage is included in the completed DVD's anyway.

8. Can you film while a photographer is present?

Filming with a photographer present will not be a problem.  Photographers love us because we use small cameras and are more "in the shadows" capturing footage rather than in your face or in the photographers shots.

9. How far in advance must I book your services?

Two to four months in advance is the ideal time frame to book services. However emergency exceptions can be made up to 14 days ahead of the event although a 100.00 extra fee will apply.

10. What is your cancellation policy?

The client must cancel within 30 days of the event in order to receive the refunded deposit. If the cancellation is made less than 30 days the deposit is nonrefundable. If I am unable to do your wedding in an extreme circumstance you will get a full refund.

11. Is a deposit required? If so, when and how much

A 50% deposit of your total amount is required in order to reserve the videography services for your event. The deposit must be paid in order to reserve your appointment. The deposit is not added to the total amount of the price but counts as a down payment for your video package.

11. Which regional areas do you film in?

I concentrate mostly on the Hampton Roads area. Special requests in areas other than this will be considered. As long as it is in-state (with the exception of  Washington D.C) I charge a 60.00 travel fee for anywhere further than 45 miles of Newport News.

11. What equipment do you use?

Right now I use strictly consumer equipment but am looking to upgrade to prosumer equipment within the next 3 years.

I film with 3 HD Canon Vixia HF100's and Sony Consumer Wireless Mics.
